End of Year Project
The Middle Ages and Renaissance
A Group Teaching Lesson
For the next week or so you will become the teacher. Groups will be assigned to complete this task. As a group you will be allowed to choose one of the topics below. No two groups can do a project on the same topic and time period; the sooner you get your idea approved by the teacher the more likely you are to complete your chosen topic.

Time Periods:
1. Early Middle Ages
2. Late Middle Ages
3. Renaissance
Honors Classes will have an additional Time Period: The Reformation. The time period when people started to question the Roman Catholic Church and the Protestant faith was born. In addition, if you would like to try your hand at a video---go for it!
Requirements:
Fully explain your topic in a 5 minute presentation
Think about the who, what, when, where, and how
Most importantly the WHY—why is it important, why should I care!
Visual: Be creative make a poster, PowerPoint, video, or handout. You will use this visual during your presentation.
Activity: You must engage your fellow classmates (have them do or make something) Examples: role playing game, crossword puzzle, word search, drawing or hangman
Create a 5-7 Question Quiz, at LEAST 2 questions must be your own (not copied from the textbook) and be prepared to administer it to your fellow classmates. You are responsible for providing a key to this quiz and/or grading the quiz.
Aside from your textbook, you must use two addition sources of information.
Presentations are expected to take a total of 20-30 minutes. Parts 1-4 must be completed during this time.
You will be graded on the quality of your work and ability to work well in your group. All requirements listed are the MINUMIM expectation. DO MORE and your grade will reflect it!
