Please bring your book to class this week. Mid-point Tests and Folder Check 10/02/2011
Midpoint Tests will take place this week. EVEN students will take their test Wednesday and ODD students will take their test Thursday. I will post the answers to the study guide on the website Tuesday evening. Folder checks will also take place the same day as your midpoint test. Make sure your folders are ready. Welcome 09/18/2011
By now, we've met a few times in class and completed a few assignments. This week we will start taking notes. You will also need to bring your book to class every day this week--so be prepared! Expect a vocabulary quiz coming up and a test soon. Progress Reports 03/06/2011
Don't forget to bring in your progress reports for a homework pass. I must recieve all odd day student's reports tomorrow and even day student's reports Tuesday. I will not accept them late! Block 3: Your projects will now be due on Friday March 11th. We will also wait and take the mid-quarter assessment on this date. I believe you will need the time to give your mind a break! Wednesday, January 26 Block 2 Thursday, January 27 Block 1 & 3 Friday, January 28 Block 5 & 7 Monday, January 31 Block 4 & 5 Thursday, Friday, and Monday are all half days. Each testing block is a little under two hours long. Both the US History and World History Exams have 100 multiple choice questions. Honors World History Students will have to answer 2 of the 4 short answer questions listed below. You can prepare for the short answer questions as home but you must write them in class. 1. How did Greek and Roman achievements influence Western civilization? 2. What was the Social, Political, and Economic impact of the Pax Romana? 3. Compare and Contrast Greek and Roman forms of Democracy. How did they impact the creation of democracy in the United State? 4. Compare and contrast the Golden Age of Pericles and the Pax Romana. | Your TeacherI have a Bachelor in Arts from Virginia Tech and a Master in Teaching from Western Washington Universtity. This will be my fourth year at Lakeland and fifth year as a teacher. I have lived all over the United States and Japan. I spent the summer taking courses.
